How To UseStep 1CHOOSE PLUG SIZE - Select the EZ Patch cutting base to suit the hole. Choose the smallest base that will completely cover the hole and allow space for drywall screws to attach bade to wall. Have ready a matching EZ Patch plug. See Fig 1. Click here. Step 2PREPARE CIRCUT TOOL - Assemble washers. Tighten nut well and always use on each side of cutting base. Insert bolt through center of cutting base as shown. Position blade in hole on the underside of the pivot arm as shown with the flat side toward the set-screw hole. Use extreme care - blade is razor sharp! Match blade position to cutting base. Insert set-screw in side hole and tighten. See Fig 2. Click here. Step 3ATTACH BASE TO WALL - Center the cutting base over the hole and attach base to wall using the drywall screws provided. push screw-start guide through drywall until threads made contact, than turnscrew until snug, but do not over-tighten. See Fig 3. Click here. Step 4ATTACH PIVOT ARM TO BASE - Simply place threaded hole in pivot arm over end of bolt and begin turning the handle clockwise. When blade makes contact with drywall, continue rotating handle approximately 10 full turns, until a cut has been made completely through the drywall. With 9" or 12" cuts, make 2 to 3 clockwise revolutions, than make 1 counter clockwise revolutions, to clear paper debris, repeat process until hole is cut. See Fig 4. Click here. Step 5PULL OUT DAMAGED SECTION - Pull the cutting base attached to damaged section of wall straight out. Step 6INSERT EZ PATCH PLUG - Test that plug fits flush, or slightly inset. If not, make adjustments to beveled hole by lightly scraping with knife. Apply thin layer of white household glue to beveled edge of plug. Insert plug firmly into hole and wipe offany excess glue. Step 7SPACKLE, TEXTURE & PAINT - Apply a thin layer of spackling over the plug with spackling tool. Level spachling or use texture tool, spray, or compound to make repair texture match wall texture. When spackling and texturing is completely dry, paint to match wall. No sanding is required if spackle is leveledsmooth or if texture is applied with intial coat of spackling. |
